Central Otago Riesling wins Rangitikei Chicken 2016 Air New Zealand Wine Award
The aromatic 2016 Dry Riesling from Maude Mt Vineyard, Central Otago is this year’s winner of the “Exhibition White or Sparkling Wine” sponsored by Rangitikei Chicken at the 30th Air New Zealand Wine Awards.
Rangitikei’s Anna Thompson says:
“We’re pleased to present the trophy to Maude Mt Vineyard. Maude Mt Vineyards Riesling pairs beautifully with our corn-fed free-range chickens, with the combination of intense acidity and fruit and our succulent chickens. The combination couldn’t be better timed with the festive season just around the corner.”
This is the second year Rangitikei has sponsored the awards and is looking forward to working with the Maude Mt Vineyard to promote their success.
